Michael R. Corley

Mike Corley founded Mercatus Energy in 2007 and serves as Managing Director, providing overall strategic and operational vision for the firm.

In his work with clients, Mr. Corley advises clients on complex mandates spanning the full range of physical and financial energy commodity markets around the world.

Prior to founding the firm, he held leading roles in energy trading, risk management, quantitative analysis, and structured products at El Paso Merchant Energy, TradeSpark, and ARM Energy.

Mr. Corley's perspective on energy markets is regularly sought by Argus, Bloomberg, CNBC, Reuters, S&P Global Commodity Insights, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.

Mr. Corley received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and completed the Executive Leadership Programme at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
