Energy Hedging Case Studies & Mutil-Client Studies

We just launced a new section on our website where we will be highlighting the results that we produce for our clients.  This section is "under constuction" and will be for a few more days/weeks but, in the meantime, we've gone ahead and posted a couple case studies highlighting two of our clients.  The first case study focuses on an oil & gas producer who has been a client for since 2009.  The second one focuses on a petroleum marketer who has been a client since 2006.  The case studies are available via this link or by selecting "case studies" from the navigation menu.

Also, as of this afternoon we are kicking off the research process of our 2010 oil & gas hedging study.  Last year' study provided a wealth of information and was very well received by oil and gas producers as well as their lenders, investors and professional service providers.  While we were content with the information and data we obtained during last year's study, this years' is going to contain much more information and data.  If you are an oil and gas producer and would like to participate in the study please contact us for more details.

Last but not least, we are in the process of finalizing a study on profit margins in the heating oil and propane marketing businesses.  While we're not quite ready to release all of the fine details, it's safe to say that gross margins in the retail heating oil business have, as a whole, declined significantly in recent years.  This report should be released no later than the end of October.  Please contact us if you would like to receive a copy.
